About

Our Story

Caroline Lita Streat is a British designer based in The New Forest, specialising in fashion and print design. Caroline Lita is proud to be an eco-conscious luxury fashion brand.

We know the detrimental impact fashion has on the environment this is why the brand is proud to be minimising its carbon footprint and using circular processes where possible. This is achieved by using recycled or deadstock fabrics where possible and when printing onto fabrics making sure they are eco or recycled.

All items are designed and made in England.

Caroline’s collections are inspired by her British heritage and life experiences travelling around the world. Caroline tends to reference The Royal Family. In recent times they have been a hot topic in the news but for Caroline, they have been a long source of interest.

Every collection has its own unique repeat pattern that Caroline creates, where each design tells its own unique and individual story.

The clothes Caroline designs are made to encapsulate an element of royalty and to make the wearer feel luxurious and empowered. Printed on high quality eco or organic materials, every garment is handmade in England. Creating classic, timeless and original design, our garments are intended to be treasured for a lifetime.

Our History

Caroline started her journey studying Fashion & Textile Design as a mature student at Winchester School of Art. Although Caroline studied as a mature student, her love for fashion has been a long interest since she was a little girl. Caroline remembers when her dad would take her shopping in Milton Keynes and he would let her choose an outfit to buy, she says, “I would always pick something unique, even as a little girl I loved to make a statement within what I wore.” Caroline vividly remembers her mum working as shop manager for Oxfam and going there to help her at the weekends, “I used to love helping sort out all the items that came in.” It wasn’t until Caroline embarked on an adventure travelling around the world for a duration of 18 months, she says seeing the fashion in so many different cultures and countries was so inspiring and is what lead her to decision.

Caroline has been featured in publications such as Hampshire and Dorset Living, and her luxury garments have been worn by ITV presenter Verona Rose.

Our Vision

The word ‘sustainable’ has become a popular word used in society and represents the importance of protecting our environment. Each Caroline Lita print design is digitally created, and each garment is handmade in England, emphasising classic, timeless and original design.

Our products are proudly made in England, and we produce in small units to avoid waste. Any faulty items are recycled, and where possible the fabric is used to create accessories. Many products are made-to-order, this ensures there is no wastage. Our packaging is made from recycled materials and is also recyclable.

The importance of being sustainable in fashion design is significant to protecting our environment, and this is why our products are made using high quality eco, organic and recycled fabrics, and all of our products are designed to last a lifetime.
